Daybreak in February
Sunset colored smile
She sits on the splintered porch
Holding the citrus I grew for her
Blinded by the sun
The deer laying
on the road. “Thank you for the citrus”
She devoured the fruit
The day grew blue
Her hair blue, now black
Black road stained red
Red roses reek lack.
